Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University is a basis university for training specialists and main partner in the field of scientific and technical cooperation with the largest enterprises of Russia, such as: OJSC “Kalashnikov Group” (ОJSC “Izhmash”), ОJSC “Votkinsk Plant”, ОJSC “Izhevsk Mechanical Plant”, ОJSC “F.E. The mission of Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education  (FSBEI HE “Kalashnikov ISTU”) – generation of knowledge and transfer of technologies, training and retraining of specialists able to provide innovative development of hi-tech industries and enterprises of the region and Russia.

Strategic aims of the university:

- support of the processes of technological modernization of Privolzhsky Federal District and Udmurt Republic, increase in the competitiveness of hi-tech industries of the economy through training of innovation-oriented specialists possessing the topical set of common cultural and professional competencies, generation of knowledge and transfer of technologies.
