Information and measuring complex to investigate acoustic properties of materials and products allows measuring the characteristics of spreading acoustic waves, obtaining information about elastic modules, residual mechanical stresses, uniaxial and biaxial strain-stress state, anisotropy of properties, structural state of materials, availability of internal and surface defects with high accuracy. The complex comprises information and measuring units, specialized contactless electromagnetic and acoustic transformers with dry point contact for transmitting and receiving different types of waves (longitudinal, transversal, including horizontally-polarized, Rayleigh, lateral, proper Pochhammer and Lamb waves) with different frequency ranges for a wide range of products (wire, sheets, rods, pipes, rails, railroad wheels, etc.) and different materials (metal and alloys, including non-ferromagnetic ones, composites, porous media), as well as specialized software to control, register, process and analyze signals.  

Mainadvantages:

- implementation of measurements without immerse liquid and additional preparation of the object surface;

- high precision, reliability and reproducibility of the measurement results due to the offset from the acoustic contact quality;  

- possibility of simultaneous use of several information parameters of acoustic waves;

- high sensibility of the methods to the structure micro defects, internal and surface defects.
