The portable universal OMAR-2 receiver for field geophysical research developed in the laboratory of environmental geophysics. The receiver in complete with geophysical sensors and a digital signal recorder forms a two-channel receiving and recording equipment.
The equipment can be operated as an audio magnetotelluric, seismoelectric and seismic station. Complete with an electric generator, the device acts as a broadband amplitude-phase meter of electromagnetic fields. The receiver consists of two identical channels that coordinate with the sensors, filter industrial noise, amplify the signal and indicate its level. Grounded and non-grounded electrical lines, passive and active magnetic antennas, seismic receivers, hydrophones and other geophysical sensors can be connected to the inputs of the device. Hardware modifications oriented to specific tasks are differ slightly in circuit design.
The recording unit of geophysical equipment produces analog-digital conversion and recording of signals in digital form. As a recorder, a laptop or digital recorder is usually used, allowing you to digitize and record signals in real time. The result in the form of a standard pulse code modulation file is stored in flash memory (SD card).
