New active electrodes have been developed for electrochemical devices (fuel cells and electrolyzers for production of pure hydrogen and oxygen): Oxygen electrodes based on manganite and ferrite-cobaltite, Fuel electrodes based on nickel cermet.
The work was done in collaboration with IEP UB RAS.
ADVANTAGES:
• High electrochemical activity.
• Effcient operation at 500ОС and higher.
• High specifc characteristics.
• Operation at a high current density (up to 1 А/cm2) at anovervoltage of up to 100 mV.
• The confrmed service life is over 2000 hours.
• A considerable reduction in power consumption and better effciency of power installations.
• Universality, the use with traditional electrolytes based on zirconia and electrolytes of the new generation based on ceria or lanthanum gallate.

Electron microphotographs of a cathode containing 99 wt % La0,6Sr0,4Fe0,8Co0,2O3 + 1 wt % CuO.

Temperature dependencies of hydrogen oxidation rate on nickel cermet-based anodes. The anodes containing Ni powder are baked at 1 200ОС without prior synthesis.
