The technology for copper electrolyte sludge processing with high purity selenium and tellurium extraction has been developed and is being successfully used. The selenium is extracted during sludge smelting and captured by gas cleaning solutions, and selenium is selectively precipitated from solutions and melted, purified by vacuum distillation. The tellurium is extracted from slags of sludge smelting by leaching and electrolysis, the crude tellurium is purified from impurities by reduction, melt filtration, vacuum distillation and zone melting.
