A technology for removing hexavalent chromium from natural and waste waters has been developed, which allows purification (decontamination) of water containing up to 100 g/l of hexavalent chromium. Application of this technology results in a decrease in the content of hexavalent chromium down to permissible concentrations. The key feature of the technology is that within a single operation hexavalent
chromium is reduced to the trivalent state.

Advantages
• Complete removal of hexavalent chromium from natural or waste waters.
• The developed technology can be easily adapted to the equipment available at water conditioning stations, and its introduction to practice requires no considerable capital investments.
