With the manufacturing field are developing towards high precision of products, diversification of materials and complexity of processing, higher requirements are put forward for manufacturing equipment. According to the market demand of high speed and high precision intelligent special machining equipment, the intelligent flexible open CNC EDM system is developed. Based on the open architecture design, it has the characteristics of full software control, flexibility and modularity.  It is equipped with EDM process database, and can realize intelligent automatic machining by using multi-layer feedforward artificial neural network to automatically determine the processing conditions. In addition, this project also developed interpolation technology and processing control technology suitable for CNC EDM system, effectively solving the anti-interference problem during EDM.
